A nourishing hot cereal made of 100% natural rolled oats. Old Fashioned (which cooks in 5 minutes) can be made on the stove top or conveniently prepared in the microwave. Quaker Oats are delicious eaten as a hot cereal, topped with your favorite fresh fruit or other ingredients or as a healthful and tasty addition to many recipes. And the soluble fiber in Quaker Oats helps protect your heart health by reducing cholesterol.

My doctor said that my cholesterol levels were getting up there (LDL277) and wanted to start me on medication. I declined. Instead, I opted for an Old Fashioned Oats daily breakfast with the understanding that if it didn't come down I would take the meds. Needless to say, my LDL level is now around 155 and I'm NOT on anything but oats!

PS
I don't use salt in the water (BP was borderline, too), but use Brown Sugar and raisins, instead.
