Adds a nutty flavor to oatmeal or cereal. It's also an easy to add item to meatloaf or other cooked foods due to its mild taste. I can't taste it all in smoothies so if the taste bothers you in cereal etc. this might be a good alternative.
It's also an easy way to up your intake of iron.
Wheat germ is definitely a dietary bargain, it packs a lot nutrition into a very small package and low calorie profile.
Omega 3s and Coenzyme Q10 are amongst it's benefits not listed on a standard USDA label.
Kretchmer is an easily available brand found at most grocery stores and doesn't require a trip to the health food store. After you open it, make sure to refrigerate so that the oils continue to maintain their nutrients and don't oxidize.
Try it on a salad in place of croutons.
