There is protein and fat in watermelon and in many fruits. Fruits contain 15 - 20 times less protein than meat, but it is still there. The essential 8 amino acids that our body needs via food are all available through fruits -- these amino acids are components of the protein.
As for the fat, oils are present in plants. Think about the grapeseed oil, lemon oil, sunflower oil, etc that we eat. These are good, healthy fats.

watermelon is great. With 90% of water its quiet good eat when you are on a crash diet.
If you can remain on just watermelon for 3days or more you can reduce upto 4 kgs in 3 to 5 days.
