Fresh Avocado

When ripe, the avocado is buttery smooth with a light nutty taste that is great in salads, wraps or even as a snack. Be careful when watching your fat calories because even though it is considered a healthier fat, it packs a whopping 22.5g for a whole fruit!

I fell in love with avocado when I studied abroad in South America. And let me tell you-- you will never find it fresher until you try a tree-ripened avocado. Being back in the states, I still indulge in this food on a daily basis, but nothing compares to getting it ripened from the vine. It is delicious/excellent for lowering cholesterol and helping you attain flawless skin. I love this fruit! Eat plain with a little salt, or add some freshly sliced tomato and you have a nice breakfast!
