Light String Cheese

This is a tasy alternative to regular string cheese... All the taste and about half the calories. Frigo Light String Cheese is an ideal snack food for those who want to watch the fat and still have a good protein intake.

Pretty tasty! You can tell it's unleaded, but it'll deal with any cheese craving you might be having.

While string cheese is healthy and a light version has less calories, half the calories is overstating. Regualar string cheese has 80 calories, light has 60, in the grand scheme of things, not much of a difference. I can buy regular at costco, I will forgo the 20 extra calories to save a few bucks.

This was a lot better that I thought. I actually bought the regular package but the light was mispackaged inside. You can definitely tell there is less sodium as it is not as salty. I am trying to cut down on my fat intake so may end up purchasing this on purpose next time. I have also used this for portion control when putting a little cheese on my salad.
I would give this a 4 star.

I've been bringing Frigo Light String Cheese to work as a snack for about a year now, and I still haven't tired of it.. it tastes great! I was looking for snacks high in protein but low in fat, and this one was near the top.. compared to other snacks and compared to other string cheese brands. Since then, we buy a lot more - my wife and daughter love it as a snack too. :)

I love this cheese. To me, it's not only about fewer calories it's also about the reduction in fat and the increase in protein. Compared to the regular version, this cheese reduces its fat (which includes saturated fat) from 6 grams to 2.5 grams and it has adds an extra 2 grams of protein...that makes it entirely worth it to spend the extra money on this cheese.

I'm a cheese addict, and I've tried all kinds of string cheeses. This is by far my favorite. It has better texture and taste than all the other brands i've tried.
