Improved calorie calculator, new user photos, and more!

You asked, and we’ve answered!

You probably already know that you can use The Daily Plate to track everything you eat. You may have even already used our calorie calculator, which allows you to monitor precisely how many calories you can eat throughout the rest of the day.

Our calorie calculator already took into account your height, weight, age, and activity level. Now, you can also indicate what your diet goal is: Would you like to maintain your weight? Or would you prefer to lose a pound or two each week? Whatever your desire, The Daily Plate will help you calculate the right number of calories to aim for each day. And if you prefer to set your own goal without our calculator, you can do that too!

In other news, we’ve added a place on your profile where you can share up to 10 photos. Visit your profile and click on the “Photos” tab. In fact, you can even create a photo “avatar” for yourself that will appear next to any reviews you write, or any posts on our message board.

And one more piece of good news: We’re delighted to announce that our database of foods now has over 89,000 items, so it’s easier than ever to find what you’re eating.
